Bystronic will present a new fiber-laser platform, the 10-kWByStar Fiber laser machine with 10-kW fiber laser, equipped with the company’s ByVision control. The machine features cutting capabilities into the thick-plate range, high machine dynamics, process reliability, high parts output and premium cutting quality, according to company officials. It will be shown with Bystronic’s ByTrans Extended automated material-load/unload system.

Also on display, the Bystronic Xpert 150 press brake with Bystronic ByVision Bending control, pressure-reference technology, automatic dynamic crowning and six-axis backgauge system. The press brake reportedly introduces no angle errors itself, with a ram positioning accuracy of 0.00015 in. The Xpert 40, with the company’s mobile bending robot (pictured), supports fluctuating lot sizes and varying part complexities in a flexible automated- or manual-bending system. Control integrates seamlessly into the press-brake user interface, and the robotic system can be set up when and where needed in only a few minutes.

And, the company’s BySoft 7 software offers a comprehensive range of programming functions for designing parts, converting from existing CAD files, and creating cutting plans and bending programs. An embedded cost calculator determines actual production costs.
