dallas-feed-line-toledo-tool-and-dieDallas Industries. Troy, MI, has sold a pair of feed lines to Toledo Tool & Die, Toledo, OH.   The lines, one rated at 30,000 lb. x 72 in. wide and the other at 20,000 lb. x 42 in. wide, are Dallas’ compact LoopSelect SpaceSaver feed lines. The 72-in. wide line features a DRFXDS-872 feed (8-in.-dia. rolls) with a nine-roll, piloting pull-through straightener with 5-in.-dia. rolls.  The 42-in. line features a DRFHDS-642 feed (8-in.-dia. rolls) with a nine-roll, piloting pull-through straightener with 4-in.-dia. rolls.

The compact and flexible Loop Select SpaceSaver feed lines feature a selectable loop control.  The front-loop mode allows processing of light-gauge material at long feed lengths and higher speeds, while the back-loop mode allows processing of heavy-gauge materials using a clock-spring loop to form beneath the coil. Included is Dallas’ SyncLoop technology to monitor average line speed and loop depths and automatically adjust payout speeds to ensure a smooth payout; and ProfileSelect, a unique feed-control system that employs a sinusoidal (cam-motion) profile to result in a smooth feed motion utilizing 100 percent of the press-feed window, reducing stress on the material and the feed’s mechanical components.
