Coe Press straightener

Coe will launch its new HD Series of power straighteners at FABTECH, specifically designed to process advanced high-strength steels (AHSS) and other high-yield-strength materials. As compared to typical power straighteners, the new HD Series features improved work-roller design, higher strength of materials, tighter straightener-roll spacing and increased roll depth penetration. Additionally, the new HD Series provides increased roll force delivery, stronger gears and bearings and an improved straightener roller backup mechanism to provide the rigidity required to effectively process AHSS materials.

The new HD Series straighteners are available in the 306 series with 3-in.-dia. work rolls, the 406 series with 4-in.-dia. work rolls and the 507 series with 5-in.-dia. work rolls. The machines can process material at widths from 1 to 84 in. and from 0.010 to 0.620 in. thick, with coil weights up to 60,000 lb. Most importantly, they can process AHSS materials with yield strengths to 1000 MPa. HD series machines are available in seven-, nine- and 11-roll configurations. www.cpec.com
