High-Capacity Leveler for Cut-to-Length Lines

High-capacity leveler-Arku Coil Systems German manufacturer Arku Maschinenbau GmbH, represented in the United States by Arku Coil Systems Inc., Cincinnati, OH, introduces the HiCap Plus high-capacity leveler developed for wide, thin material. Designed for application in cut-to-length lines as well as for leveling of blanks and perforated sheets, the leveler acts as two machines in one thanks to a cassette system.

Quick-change cassettes with varying roller diameters allow the machine to process the thickness range of two machines —larger-diameter rollers to handle thicker sheetmetal strips, smaller rollers for thin material. And, the lower cassette can be separately removed for easy cleaning to remove dirt and residue that collects in the lower leveling unit.

The HiCap Plus, like all Arku high-capacity levelers, is equipped with the patented drive concept EcoPlan, which, say Arku officials, significantly reduces the torque required on each cardan shaft.
