New Red Bud Slitting Line at NB Handy

NB Handy Company, Lynchburg, VA, a manufacturer of architectural sheet metal products for roofing systems, has installed a new light-gauge slitting line from Red Bud Industries. The low-passline, small-footprint line avoided the need for costly foundation work.

The line comprises an entry coil car, traversing uncoiler, support table with pinch rolls, slide and lock slitting head, ball scrap winders, thread system, recoiler and exit coil lift. It’s rated for 0.060- by x 60-in. material, with the ability to handle master coils to 25,000 lb.
