Consortium Launched to Benefit Thermal Manufacturing

ASM International, Materials Park, OH, will lead a U.S. effort to develop and implement advanced thermal-manufacturing technologies—drying, smelting, heattreating and curing. Funded by a $400,000 NIST grant, the Thermal Manufacturing Industries Advanced Technology Consortium hopes to engage in projects to reduce manufacturing costs, increase productivity and enhance global competiveness. NIST Grant to Fund Materials R&D for Additive Manufacturing

Penn State announced plans to launch the Consortium for Additive Manufacturing Materials (CAMM), after receiving one of 19 advanced manufacturing technology planning grants from the National Institute of Standards (NIST).
