Hypertherm Issues Corporate Social Responsibility Report

Cutting-system manufacturer Hypertherm, Hanover, NH, has released its first-ever Corporate Social responsibility (CSR) report, tracking its philanthropic and environmental initiatives. Among its highlights: two-thirds of Hypertherm employees volunteered in the community within the past year, and the Hypertherm Owners’ Philanthropic Endeavors Foundation provided funding and other support to more than 60 nonprofit organizations in 2010. Also included is the firm’s new Environmental Scorecard, outlining environmental goals and progress, such as zero waste and a 50-percent reduction in carbon by 2020.
