Victor Technologies Acquires CNC-Controller Manufacturer

Robotronic Oy, the parent company of shape-cutting controller manufacturer ProMotion Controls, Inc., has been acquired by Victor Technologies, St. Louis, MO. ProMotion, Medina, OH, also supplies nesting software, torch-height controls and associated products for cutting systems employing plasma, oxyfuel, laser, waterjet and router technology. ProMotion Controls president and CEO J. P. Kinos joins Victor Technologies as vice president brand management, automated plasma. Victor Technologies will incorporate all of the acquired technology into its Thermal Dynamics automated plasma-cutting brand.
