Hotline Places Stamping-Design Engineers a Phone Call A
September 1, 2008Comments
Die-Tech, Inc., York Haven, PA, introduced a stamping-design hotline as a resource for engineers and others working in manufacturing plants that use precision metal stampings. Die-Tech engineers will answer questions exploring design flaws, raw-material selection, assembly issues and other common inquiries.
One goal of the hotline is to involve design engineers earlier in the development process so that designs are refined based on sound stamping practices, eliminating the potential for rework down the road. Users of the hotline also should be able to minimize design changes and shorten the design-change approval process. Technical support from the hotline (1-888-89-STAMP) is free and available 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
