Did you know: The median income for corporate chief financial officers in manufacturing is $120,000, but varies by company size? For example, CFOs in operations with annual revenues below $10 million have a an annual median income of $87,350, but that jumps to $182,520 when a firm’s annual revenues fall within the $100-499.9-million range. Ever wonder how compensation in your company compares? For $1,100, you can find out. That’s the cost for Compensation in Manufacturing, 23rd Edition-2003. The eight-volume report, sponsored by the National Association of Manufacturers, offers results from a compensation survey of 533 manufacturing firms by Dr. Steven Langer, president of Abbot, Langer & Associates, Inc., Crete, IL. A companion report, Compensation in Smaller Manufacturing Firms, covering operations with less than 250 employees, is available for $575. Nearly 88,000 managerial, supervisory, sales, engineering, technical, clerical and blue-collar employees participated in the survey. For more information or to order, visit www.abbott-langer.com. For those specifically interested in compensation within the metalforming industry, consider the PMA Executive Compensation Report.
