Paul Bosler has worked in the specialty chemical industry for 38 years and brings his experience in the metal forming and finishing industries to help stamping companies and their end-customers meet ever-changing challenges. From 1996 to 2008, he was president and co-owner of MS Fluid Technologies, Inc., an Indianapolis, IN-based specialty chemical company. While leading the company, he spearheaded the growth of environmentally friendly synthetic lubricants into the automotive industry. Its Eco Draw lubricants gained the first full automotive body-in-white approval for such technology.

In late 2008, Bosler sold his company to Fuchs Petrochem and joined the company in their North American Product Management division. He managed the company's metal forming lubricant line for 9 years. In his current role, he manages Fuchs' OEM metal forming lubricant strategies and the mill-applied corrosion-preventive line. He and his team work closely with automotive OEMs, steel and aluminum mills, and industry consortiums to partner in the development of forming lubricants, particularly for lightweighting and body panels.

Tim Canan is the continuous improvement manager at Anchor Manufacturing Group, Cleveland, OH. He has worked in the metalforming industry for 15 years with experience as a welding and robotics technician, manufacturing engineer, manufacturing engineering manager and continuous improvement manager.

Tim has a lean six sigma black belt and a B.S. in Business Management. He currently leads a team of manufacturing engineers and manages Anchor's low-cost commitment strategy and industrial-engineering activities. His role in manufacturing engineering and continuous improvement at Anchor has led to his involvement in many stamping and forming projects where lubrication played a key role.

He has a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan and more than 23 years of experience in the metalforming lubricants industry. Chris has presented for many years at PMA events as well as written several articles for MetalForming magazine on metalforming lubricants.

David Gotoff has over thirty years of experience in the surface finishing industry. Initially focused on technical applications, in 2000 David moved into product management dedicated to marketing and customer satisfaction. This unique background combining both technical and marketing skills has greatly contributed to the success of his product lines. With a degree in chemistry from Grinnell College, David has been the product manager for surface finishing products, metalworking fluids, and rust preventives. David is currently the Product Manager for the in-process cleaners and rust preventive product lines at Chemetall, the Surface Treatment global business unit within the Coatings division of BASF. A former Chicagoan, David lives in New Providence, NJ with his wife Sallie and two children.

Through long-standing relationships with fluid application, reclamation and filtration companies, John has established Curtis Fluids as an expert in fluid reduction and management.

Ted Jarosz has worked in the steel coil coating industry for 32 years. He began his career working on electro-galvanizing–prepaint lines, testing paints and checking chemical baths and the waste-treatment system, and then moved into a managers role. He has been with Chemcoaters for 11 years, starting in the R&D department developing chemical coatings and then moving into dry film lubricants. He made the move to technical sales 3 years ago.

Pax Products manufactures ancillary pressroom equipment including stock/die lubrication systems, press conveyors, electrically driven shaker conveyors and press doors. Pat is a mechanical engineer who has been awarded several patents and has authored numerous technical articles. Prior to joining Pax Products, Pat worked for Minster Machine Company in various sales and administration roles, and with LTV Steel Company. He has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Akron, and an MBA, Executive Management, from Ashland University.

Danny Schaeffler is founder and president of Engineering Quality Solutions (EQS), a consulting firm specializing in sheetmetal formability. EQS works with global automotive and nonautomotive OEMs and their suppliers, as well as steel and aluminum producers and their service centers. Most of its work addresses material selection/optimization, tooling buyoff, field formability analyses, manufacturing-process improvement and cost savings/avoidance projects. Schaeffler authored two chapters in the ASM Handbook, Volume 14B: Metalworking: Sheet Forming, and has been published in several industry journals. With his newly formed company, 4M Partners, which provides formability training, Schaeffler wrote and published Sheet Metal Forming--Engineering and Business Management. Schaeffler is a member of SAE International (serving on the Steel Sheet & Strip Specifications Committee), and is past president of the North American Deep Drawing Research Group.
