Robotic-Welding System Features Simple Programming and Operation

Fairmont Machinery has released the VisiWeld AI robotic-welding system, powered by Abagy Robotic Systems. The system eliminates the teach pendant—users simply bring in a 3D model, identify the weld seams, select parameters from the library and clamp the assembly to the weld station.
Simple and rapid programming allows fabricators to “just click and weld,” according to company officials, with VisiWeld AI reportedly ideal for batch production—welding only a few parts, or thousands. No zero point is required, as enhanced scanning finds the seams. Use VisiWeld with any robot and welding-equipment brand. New complete cells utilizing the system can be designed around the family of parts to be welded, or modern welding cells can be retrofitted.
