Yaskawa Motoman, Dayton, OH, has developed a STEM Robotics Platform that offers users a selection of pre-engineered robotic systems. The platform is designed to meet the specific requirements of secondary educational programs focused on advanced manufacturing and robotics. Educators can purchase a complete package, or individual components to build a custom training system. Potential end users include community colleges, vocational schools and technical colleges. Also offered, in conjunction with the platform, are customizable training programs and a PC-based robot simulator that allows users to learn robot programming and operations in a virtual world.
