New Think Tank for Advancing Metalforming and Forging Processes
March 1, 2013CommentsEWI, Columbus, OH, has established the EWI Forming Center, to develop new metalforming and forging processes and support U.S. manufacturers as they strive to apply new advanced materials and net-shape forming methods, and improve structural performance. The center offers expertise in testing, modeling and simulation-based engineering, and recently welcomed a 160-ton press. It will cooperate with the Ohio State University Center for Precision Forming to conduct fundamental research, and train new engineers for the metalforming industry.
