GMH Gruppe Acquires Specialty Steelmaker Kind & Co.

Germany’s GMH Gruppe has acquired German tool-steel manufacturer Kind & Co. Edelstahlwerk, Wiehl, North Rhine-Westphalia. Kind & Co specializes in the production and refinement of high-alloy steels and offers a wide range of tool steels and special alloys. The acquisition strengthens GMH’s position in the tool-steel industry, particularly in the segment of hot-work tool steels.
GMH Gruppe, one of the largest privately managed metalworking companies in Europe, operates 20 medium-sized companies in the steel, forging and foundry industry.
