Cool Small Parts and Tools

October 1, 2019

Exair’s Mini Cooler with Dual Point Hose Kit, providing a stream of 20 F cold air to prevent heat buildup, is effective in small manufacturing operations to eliminate burning, melting and heat-related breakage, according to company officials. The dual-point option allows the cold-air outlet to be directed at two different spots when cooling larger-diameter tools, two separate points or sides of a material or process. Single-point systems also are available.

The Mini Cooler incorporates a vortex tube that converts an ordinary supply of compressed air into cold air, with flexible tubing that holds its position to direct the airflow. An adjustable magnetic base allows for simple positioning, and stainless steel construction and an absence of moving parts assures maintenance-free operation. The Mini Cooler is ideal for applications where liquid cooling cannot be used due to part contamination or cost. In addition to preventing premature tool wear, it provides cooling for sewing needles, blades, small tools and lens grinding. The CE-compliant units operate quietly, at 76 dBA.
