Hydro-Mechanical Clamping Nut Requires No Pump or Hoses
October 1, 2017 Hilma Div. Carr Lane Roemheld
Booth A5319
Hilma will show its hydromechanical clamping nut, a new die-clamping solution that does not require a pump or hoses. The manually torqued clamp has an indicator pin that extends to signal the operator when the clamp has reached its full clamping force. The ergonomic clamping nut provides high clamping force, to 16 tons with low-input torque, reducing the operator’s time and risk of injury. A threaded through-hole makes it adaptable to various die heights. The clamping nut comes in three sizes with inch and metric threads, and is suitable for use on press beds, slides and rolling bolsters.
