Nidec Press & Automaton Expanding Mexico Facility
April 18, 2024Comments
Nidec Press & Automation (NP&A) officials recently held a groundbreaking ceremony to mark the beginning of a $20 million expansion that will quadruple the size of its service facility in Querétaro, Mexico. The addition, expected to be completed by the end of 2024, will house an additional 8600 m2 of production space, for a total area of 20,000 m2. Increased crane capacity and new machining equipment will improve the facility’s capabilities for inhouse manufacturing of press components and repair parts, and for press assembly.
Established in 2014, the Querétaro location is part of NP&A’s shared global customer-service network with major service centers also located in the United States, Spain, Germany, Japan and China.
