The North American Stamping Group, headquartered in Portland, TN, has commenced an 86,000-sq.-ft. expansion to a manufacturing facility in Mexico, which will grow the site to 245,000 sq. ft. This project represents the second expansion of that operation, and includes the addition of a 1500-ton press, with a 96 by 256-in bed, supplied by Eagle Press & Equipment, Oldcastle, Ontario, Canada. The press line will be equipped with a dual-head transfer system supplied by Linear Transfer Automation, Barrie, Ontario, and a feed system supplied by Coe Press Equipment, Sterling Heights, MI.

Once the expansion completes, NASG will encompass 1.1 million sq. ft. of manufacturing space across seven stamping facilities in the United States and Canada, and three more in Mexico.
