Aida Receives Recognition for its EV Drive-Motor Core High-Speed Press Line

Aida-America announced that its parent company, Aida Engineering, has received the 66th annual Ten Greatest New Products Award from the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun (Japan Business & Technology Daily News). Earing the award: a high-speed press line developed to manufacture electric-vehicle (EV) drive-motor cores. In receiving the award, Aida notes: “In order to provide our customers with the optimal high-speed precision press line for producing difficult-to-form EV drive motor cores, we independently developed a complete array of peripheral equipment to achieve worldclass high-speed forming, including an uncoiler, an S-loop device, a feeder, a core rotator and a scrap cutter. This system is equipped with cutting-edge digital and artificial intelligence technologies, enabling us to provide a comprehensive solution for an entire high-speed precision press line that incorporates digital-transformation technology.”
Also noted: use of a facial-recognition system that prevents erroneous operation by unauthorized personnel; an oil-temperature-management system to maintain precision forming; and a predictive failure-detection system.
