New Cimatron Release Offers Upgraded Springback Functionality
December 1, 2010CommentsUnveiled at IMTS in September, the latest release of CimatronE (Version 10.0), from Cimatron Ltd., offers numerous enhancements covering tool design and manufacturing from quoting to delivery. CAD enhancements include a new built-in motion simulator with advanced analysis of kinematics. Die makers will enjoy upgraded springback-compensation functionality, which the company says will save hours of surfacing work by completing springback deformation in seconds.
CAM enhancements include upgraded multi-core processing to reduce machining times, with significant upgrades to rough and cleanup strategies, including helical finishing, say company officials.
