GE Additive Commits to Growing 3D Printing in Western Sydney

Western Sydney appears destined to become the center of 3D printing in Australia, thanks to a new joint initiative between the New South Wales (NSW) government and GE Additive. The signed memorandum of understanding shows GE Additive agreeing to expand 3D printing the Western Sydney Aerotropolis, the booming economic hub surrounding the Western Sydney airport.
“Enhanced 3D printing capabilities will be a key component of a new space industry hub at the Aerotropolis,” says NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian. “We are aiming to triple the size of Australia’s space sector to $12 billion by 2030, creating up to 20,000 new jobs in this industry alone.”
