Alpharetta, GA-based Newcomb Spring Corp. has moved its Colorado plant to a new location in Denver; operations at the new facility began on October 4. The 41,600-sq.ft. facility nearly doubles the plant’s size, increasing its production capabilities, providing faster turnarounds, reducing costs, and delivering a more diverse array of manufacturing and secondary operations. The firm also made a capital investment of $275,000 in additional CNC machinery.

“Newcomb has made a considerable investment in outfitting our Denver facility with improved design, infrastructure and equipment,” says Nathan Watson, general manager, Newcomb Spring of Colorado. “The increased space in the facility allows us to create an equipment layout that improves the internal logistical function, increasing output, reducing takt time and enhancing our ability to effectively apply 5S principles.”

Newcomb Spring supplies compression springs, extension springs, torsion springs, wire forms, stampings and more. In addition to its facilities in Alpharetta, GA, and Denver, CO, it also operates facilities in California, Connecticut, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Ontario, Canada.
