This past August, the Jefferson Community and Technical College (JCTC) Shelbyville Campus, Shelbyville, KY, welcomed an Engel rollforming machine, provided by Shelbyville’s oldest manufacturing company, Roll Forming Corp. It will use the 10-pass 7⁄8-in.-dia. machine, equipped with cutoff and decoiler units, to help train students as setup personnel, maintenance technicians, general machinists, tool and die makers, CNC operators and programmers, and design engineers.

Students also will learn the dynamics of the rollforming process. In addition, German software manufacturer dataM Corp. donated 16 seats of software that will enable JCTC students to develop bend progressions and to design rolls.
