Epicor ERP Version 10 Earns TEC Certification
July 1, 2015Epicor Software Corp., Austin, TX, a supplier of software for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, announced that Epicor ERP version 10 has achieved certification by Technology Evaluation Centers (TEC). This latest release of the Epicor enterprise-resource-planning software system has been certified in the discrete manufacturing ERP, mixed-mode manufacturing ERP, engineer-to-order manufacturing ERP, SMB manufacturing ERP and ERP for distribution industries, as well as financial packages, and accounting and small-business software spaces.
Epicor also announced the availability of its next-generation Epicor Mattec manufacturing execution system (MES), featuring a new high-performance embedded human-machine interface (HMI) to support improved shop-floor operator productivity and responsiveness. The embedded HMI gives manufacturers the ability to connect, manage and monitor processes and systems via any browser-enabled computing device. The result is improved real-time visibility with metrics, machine status, instructions, alerts and notifications to keep operators, management and engineering apprised of all manufacturing operations.
Epicor Mattec can be configured to meet specific needs via configurable metrics and charts and through connection to external web services or sites. Manufacturers also can incorporate embedded context-based videos, PDF files and personalized information panels, supporting the move to a paperless shop-floor environment. Featuring pre-built best-practice workflows for standard operations, additional workflows and rich content can be added to improve operator and maintenance responsiveness and to minimize downtime associated with maintenance, changeovers and setups.
