China Manufacturing Pursues Smart Track
June 1, 2018China will continue its smart-manufacturing strategy by adding about 100 new pilot-demonstration projects in 2018, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The projects are expected to include traditional industries such as non-ferrous metals and household appliances as well as Internet of Things and smart vehicles.
Miao Wei, minister of industry and information technology, says that “smart manufacturing is the main direction of the national industrial upgrade, and an important starting point for the two national strategies of ‘Made in China 2025’ and ‘Internet Plus.’
