Tesla Gigafactory Coming to Monterrey, Mexico

Mexico President Andrés Manuel López Obrador has confirmed plans by Tesla to build a new factory in Monterrey, on the heels of the firm agreeing to use recycled water at the new facility.  CEO Elon Musk also confirmed the report, during the firm’s investor-day presentations on March 1, noting that the facility--Tesla’s fifth assembly plant—will produce its lower-priced next-generation vehicle.
