Okay Industries Promotes Mario Chaves, Jr. to Engineering Manager   

Okay Industries, Inc., New Britain, CT, a contract manufacturer of components and subassemblies for global medical-device OEMs, has promoted Mario Chaves, Jr. to engineering manager. Chaves, Jr. will oversee the growth and development of the engineering team at the firm’s facility in Alajuela, Costa Rica, and manage strategy and budget planning.   A member of the Okay team for 10 yr., Chaves, Jr. began his tenure as a machinist and has worked in production control, purchasing, facilities, IT and other areas.  

“Mario has been a model for finding new ways to improve our processes and adding new technologies that have allowed us to become more competitive,” says Sean Stowik, director of sales and marketing. “He also has created a strong engineering team that has elevated our position among med-tech organizations in Alajuela and surrounding areas.”
