120-Yr.-Old John Bouchard & Sons Receives Woman Business Enterprise Certification

After 120 yr. in business, John Bouchard & Sons Co. (JBS), Nashville, TN, has earned certification as a Woman Business Enterprise by The Governor’s Office of Diversity Business Enterprise for the State of Tennessee. Says owner Lisa Bouchard Morgan: “For over a century, the John Bouchard & Sons Co. tradition of innovation and excellence has helped create and maintain the systems that keep communities running. It’s my privilege to help carry our family’s business into the future.”
Joining the company’s board in 2011 and now serving as chairman and CEO, Morgan is the fifth-generation overseer of JBS, which began as a machine shop in 1900 and was incorporated in 1913. It now features four fully integrated divisions:
- Construction--turnkey electrical, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection and fabrication projects
- Machine services--field service and shop repair of compressors, pumps, stamping presses, blowers, gear boxes and other rotating equipment
- Equipment sales and service of compressed-air, pumping, nitrogen-generation and vacuum systems, as well as general pipe, valves and fittings
- Foundry--municipal castings including manhole covers, trench grates, curb inlets, valve boxes and other foundry products.
