Conference Explores the Latest Lubrication Advancements and Outlook for the EV Market

The Society of Tribologists and Lubrication Engineers (STLE) will host its inaugural Tribology and Lubrication for E-Mobility Conference, November 3-5, 2021, at the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) in San Antonio, TX. The three-day technical conference will offer virtual and in-person participants the opportunity to attend educational sessions, participate in networking and group discussions, and attend panel discussions with industry experts on the latest advancements and outlook for the electric vehicle (EV) market. Presenters will cover a wide range of topics, including transmission, gear and bearing lubrication issues, recent requirements for lubricant thermal and electrical properties, new operating conditions and changes in the manufacturing of parts.  

The program includes an optional EV education course introducing EV technology, on Wednesday, November 3 (separate registration required). Topics include battery-electric vehicles and hybrid technologies; course modules include hardware design, lubricant requirements for EVs, EV thermal management, heat transfer fluids in EVs and testing methods.
