Solar Atmospheres Acquires Certified Metal Craft Inc.

Solar Atmospheres, Inc. has acquired Certified Metal Craft (CMC), El Cajon, CA, a 25-employee, Nadcap-accredited provider of heat treating and brazing services. With the addition of CMC to the Solar Family of Companies, CMC establishes Solar’s sixth nationwide location and bolsters its West Coast presence.
CMC’s extensive capabilities include vacuum, aluminum, atmospheric, endothermic, salt-bath and cryogenic processing, to service the aerospace, medical, and commercial markets. Tim Wiederkehr has been named vice president of operations, reporting to Derek Dennis, president of Solar Atmospheres of California, Inc.
