Ebner Furnaces, Inc., Wadsworth, OH, has added a new 1900-mm-wide press hardening furnace to supplement 2500-mm-wide HotPhase units in operation worldwide. The narrower roller-hearth furnace retains all of the features of its wider sibling, and offers exceptional temperature uniformity and low maintenance. Heating may be with natural gas, electric resistance or a hybrid design utilizing the advantages of both. The modular length design allows selection of the right-sized furnace for the application. Furnaces may be configured for atmosphere operation, allowing processing of either coated or uncoated steel blanks.
