Consortium Launched to Benefit Thermal Manufacturing
July 1, 2014CommentsASM International, Materials Park, OH, will lead a U.S. effort to develop and implement advanced thermal-manufacturing technologies—drying, smelting, heattreating and curing. Funded by a $400,000 NIST grant, the Thermal Manufacturing Industries Advanced Technology Consortium hopes to engage in projects to reduce manufacturing costs, increase productivity and enhance global competiveness.
