PPG to Build New Paint, Coating Plant in Tennessee to Support the Auto Industry

PPG announced plans to build a new manufacturing plant in Loudon County, TN, as part of its overall planned investment of $300 million during the next 4 yr. to support increased demand for paints and coatings in the automotive industry. The new 250,000-sq-ft. facility will manufacture paints and coatings for automakers and automotive-parts suppliers. The firm expects the plant, slated for startup in 2028, to employ 130 workers and produce 11 million gallons of paint and coatings annually. PPG also announced plans to upgrade and expand its existing facilities in Cleveland, OH, and San Juan Del Rio, Mexico.
