Jet Edge will perform live five-axis abrasive-waterjet cutting demonstrations at FABTECH on its X-Stream-powered Edge X-5 machine; introduce its new Permalign V-Series Mini Hopper; and premiere its 75,000-psi X-Stream pressure-intensifier pumps and closed-loop water-filtration System. The Edge X-5 cuts precise taper-free parts from virtually any material. The ball-screw-driven system features direct-couple AC brushless digital servo motors, providing optimum repeatability. The variable-aperture Permalign V-Series Mini Hopper (shown) increases productivity and profitability by allowing waterjet operators to easily make adjustments to abrasive flow, minimizing abrasive consumption. And the new X-Stream xP90-100 intensifier pump supports 75-ksi continuous operating pressure, to optimize productivity while minimizing operating costs.
