United Performance Metals Adds 8-kw Fiber Laser

Comments United Performance Metals (UPM) has installed a new 8-kw fiber laser cutting machine in the company’s Cincinnati, OH headquarters facility. UPM, an O’Neal Industries affiliate, is a global distributor of high-performance specialty metals. “In addition to the new fiber laser, we have invested in post-laser processing and measuring equipment to more efficiently provide our customers with precision laser-cut parts,” says James Johnson, director of operations.

The firm now operates four laser-cutting machines in its Ohio Laser Center of Excellence; www.upmet.com.
