Tab Industries Adds Second Bescutter Laser-Cutting Machine in the Last Five Months

Tab Industries, LLC, Reading, PA, manufacturer of the Tornado line of orbital wrapping machines, has purchased a Fly 3015 Bescutter fiber-laser cutting machine, just five months after purchasing a new 3300-W Bescutter. The strategic investment was necessary, say company officials, to continue meeting fast lead times for existing customers and to ensure uninterrupted production of the more than 40 metal parts cut for the orbital wrapping machines.

The latest laser cutting system acquisition extends a multi-year run of investments in machinery and equipment that includes new welding stations, a new press brake, a powder-coating line and a variety of auxiliary equipment. Laser cutting quickly has taken center stage as key revenue driver among the shop's range of services, which includes metal fabrication, CNC and traditional machining, arc welding, stamping, deburring, and a variety of engineering, finishing, assembly, packaging and supply-chain services.
