Space-Saving Reduced-Footprint Fiber-Laser Cutting Machine
November 1, 2024Comments
Prima Power, the sheet metal machine tool brand of
Prima Industrie, launched a new addition to its 2D laser-cutting machine
family: the Platino Linear, presented to MetalForming as a compact machine with
a footprint 22% smaller than similar machines in its category. Featured is a
maintenance-free linear drive system that company representatives say will minimize
downtime and operational costs. With an open-design cabin and cantilever
architecture, users benefit from full work-area access.
The Platino Linear boasts a 3048 by 1524-mm work area, comes with a fiber-laser source of 2, 4, 6 or 8 kW, and also incorporates Prima Power’s Smart Cut and Gas Mixer Cut technologies, both designed to reduce cycle times.
Also seen at the booth: the eP Genius 1030 high-performance electric press brake, and BCe Smart 2200 panel bender.
