Salvagnini Demo Day a Showcase for Leading-Edge Sheet Metal Fab Technology

The recent Salvagnini campus building-expansion project in Hamilton, OH, took center stage on Thursday, June 23rd, when the campus hosted a Demonstration Day, offering visitors tours of the environmentally engineered building. After a ribbon-cutting ceremony, visitors enjoyed close-up looks at a host of machines, including the new S1 punch-laser combi machine, along with an array of automation equipment. And we were treated to a very informative seminar on Salvagnini’s software ecosystem for managing activities in the office and on the shop floor.
Among key features of the S1 (shown here) highlighted during
the demo: its multi-press head, with 59-tool capacity, which does not require
retooling or tool changes in-cycle; and the Streampunch.EVO programming software
that includes proprietary algorithms for optimizing nests and parts and provides
interactive work-process editing and simulation functions.
