Machitech Laser-Cutting Machine Provides 4G Acceleration, Power to 60 kW

Machitech, Saint-Marc-des-Carrieres (Quebec), Canada, has
introduced the Fiber Prime S laser-cutting machine, delivering acceleration to 4G
and high-power performance (12-60 kW) for cutting mild steel to 4 in. thick. The
machine employs a Precitec cutting head with integrated gas mixing and focus
compensation. Also available: an optional Machitech bevel head for making complex
bevel cuts, including V, X, Y and K bevels in a single operation. Maximum sheet
size: 315 by 98 in.
Fiber Prime S machines employ an intelligent, intuitive, large-screen CNC controller equipped with tested parameters for all cutting processes, as well as built-in monitoring and intelligent path nesting using Lantek Expert Cut nesting software.
The machine’s modular frame isolates the bed from the motion platform, reportedly resulting in high dynamic motion with high load-bearing ability. The machines also incorporate shuttle tables for continuous operation.
