The five-axis HSG Laser Cell 3015G, from HSG
Laser, with U.S. headquarters in Addison, IL, features an advanced cutting
head, high-performance motion control and enhanced safety features while providing
high productivity and efficiency, according to company officials.
The cutting head boasts flexibility, enabling complex 3D cuts and intricate geometries, while the motion control ensures high-speed, accurate and reliable 3D five-axis laser cutting. Safety features include a fully enclosed structure, 360-deg. crash protection and an anti-collision safety light curtain. Video monitoring contributes to the machine's productivity and efficiency.
The cell’s laser cutting head, designed by HSG, offers flexibility via the combination of the cell’s laser cutting technology and the 360-deg. rotation of the cutting unit. This setup reduces tooling costs and setup time, and simplifies the cutting of complex 3D parts. In addition, the lightweight design of the cutting head enables higher traverse speeds and head-movement speeds, resulting in greater productivity, according to company officials.
