Mazak Optonics Corp., Elgin, IL, showcases four fiber-generator laser machines, highlighted by the launch of the Optiplex Nexus 3015 Fiber. This 2D machine is designed to integrate intelligent setup and monitoring functions. It offers a large side-access door, and is available in a manual-pallet or automated two-pallet design. The 26,000-lb. machine incorporates a helical rack-and-pinion positioning system for solid throughput and high accuracy, according to company officials, and has been engineered to be utilized with Mazak’s automated material-handling systems.
