Ramos-Arizpe Coil-Processing Plant Expanding

Acero Prime, a joint venture between Feralloy Corp., U.S. Steel and Mitsui USA, plans to expand its facility in Ramos Arizpe, Mexico. By November 2010, the facility will feature a new 55,000-sq.-ft. addition and a new multi-blanking line to service customers in the appliance and automotive industries. The new line will handle coils to 72 in. wide and weighing as much as 30 metric tons.
Acero Prime operates three plants in Mexico to provide value-added processing to hot rolled, hot rolled and pickled, cold rolled and coated sheet coils.
