Coil Feed Line Features Integrated Shear
October 31, 2023 As seen at FABTECH...Coe Press Equipment staged a 30-in. coil processing line equipped with a servo shear for cutting continuous coil into blanks. It is intended to be more cost-effective than a hydraulic shear. As a servo-driven, eccentric design machine, it enables greater speed and efficiency than a hydraulic-driven shear. The blanks can be integrated into the company’s CTL, blanking, or transfer press line systems. Optional features include an oscillating shear head and varying angle cuts. The line features Coe’s Series 530 servo roll feed, a 3.50 by 30-in. power straightener, a 15,000 lb. by 30-in.-capacity coil reel and a straight servo shear. Capable of handling a variety of materials including copper as well as mild and high-strength steels, at FABTECH the line was shown processing mild cold-rolled steel.
