CHS Automation/Pneumatic Feed Service Join Nidec Press & Automation
September 1, 2020Comments Nidec Minster Corporation, Minster, OH, a member of the Nidec Press & Automation (NP&A) group, has acquired automation-equipment manufacturer CHS Automation and service provider Pneumatic Feed Service (PFS), Romeo, MI. The acquisition of CHS Automation and its emphasis on heavy-duty coil lines and high-tensile material-straightening equipment directly complements the existing NP&A product offering for contract and automotive stampers, according to NP&A CEO David Winch.
CHS also operates PFS, a regional service, machinery-remanufacturing and used-equipment provider. “Combining our service offerings will enable us to support the metal formers in Michigan with a local and immediate response, critical when downtime is involved,” adds Steve Gruber, NPA executive vice president, global service.
CHS president and CEO Eric Werner and his leadership team will continue with their existing responsibilities, in addition to working closely with NP&A leadership to ensure high-quality customer solutions.
