Six EuroBlech Exhibitors Receive Innovation Awards
November 11, 2024CommentsSome 39,000 attendees from 114 countries walked the nine exhibit halls of EuroBlech 2024 in Hanover last month, witnessing displays from more than 1300 exhibitors. And, despite the economic struggles of most European nations, MetalForming editorial director Brad Kuvin, while walking the show floor, sensed a great deal of excitement over the new technology on display.
Among the 15 technology areas addressed on the show floor, making a splash were artificial-intelligence-based solutions, including those for vision-system-equipped part sorting; and several modular, automated press-brake bending cells.
Seventy-six exhibitors were shortlisted for the prestigious EuroBlech 2024 Award. Winners were announced in each of six categories, including:
- Stamping and Forming: Amada, for its fully automatic bending robot cell, the EGB-1303ARse
- Sustainability: Bosch Rexroth, for its energy-efficient, servo-hydraulic drive solution for deep-drawing presses
- Cutting Technology: Trumpf, for its TruLaser Series 3000 Bevel Cut Edition, a 2D laser-cutting machine capable of edge beveling and chamfering
- Automation and Handling: Reis Robotics, for its robot Robotstar VII controller.
