New this year: an area devoted to 3D medical innovations. From end-use surgical devices and personalized implants to bone scaffolds and functioning organ replacements—medical remains one of the most dynamic market segments for 3D printing. The medical area provides a showcase of medical applications and a location where attendees can talk with others in this manufacturing space. In addition, attendees can search the show guide for such exhibitors, distinguished with a Medical Additive Manufacturing logo.

Another area of innovation, the Smart Manufacturing Hub, continues to be a crowd pleaser as the smart manufacturing movement continues strong. This area on the show floor highlights the latest in automation, advanced materials, 3D printing, the Industrial Internet of Things, 3D scanning and more. Technical presentations from smart technology providers provide insight on recent developments. Presentations are complimentary for all RAPID + TCT attendees.

Meanwhile, the SME Zone Theater located on the show floor features AM leaders discussing where AM is headed next when it comes to aerospace, automotive, medical, materials and more. Moreover, if you are seeking answers and solutions to questions and challenges, then experts at the SME Knowledge Bar await you.

Finally, allow yourself to be inspired by the 3D Art Gallery, also in the SME Zone. This special area highlights innovative 3D printing applications created by artists from across the nation. The gallery highlights artists’ creative approaches and their works, made possible by 3D printing, 3D imaging and digital sculpturing. 3DMP
