Trumpf JV Focused on 3D Printing of Metal Parts
July 1, 2014Trumpf, Ditzingen, Germany, has entered into a joint venture in additive manufacturing with Italian laser manufacturer Sisma S.p.A. Trumpf Sisma S.r.l. (55 percent Trumpf), based in Piovene Rocchette, Italy, will develop production systems for mass-production 3D printing of metal components. Sisma lasers find use for welding, marking, cutting and selective laser melting.
