Hoganas Releases Sustainability Report 2019

Höganäs has released its Sustainability Report 2019, detailing the company’s sustainability achievements during the year, including the launching of a new supplier Code of Conduct, sustainability strategy, climate roadmap and a product vision, The report also explores expected challenges going forward.

The provider of metal powders and related technology boasts an annual production capacity of more than 500,000 tons via 18 production facilities in 11 countries covering the Americas, Europe and Asia. Some facts from the comprehensive report: 50 percent of the company’s raw materials consist of secondary, or recycled material, with secondary materials including pre- and post-consumer scrap; 50 percent of its purchased electricity is from renewable or partly renewable sources; and 80 percent of all process residuals are reused, with a target goal of 85 percent.
