DARPA Funding a New Direct Digital Manufacturing Center
May 1, 2012Sciaky, Inc., a provider of additive-manufacturing systems developing near-net-shape prototype parts, is teaming with the Applied Research Laboratory at Penn State University to launch the Center for Innovative Metal Processing through Direct Digital Deposition. Funding for the 6000-sq.-ft. center is being provided by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA).
